Rachel joined us in February 2018. She appreciates Dr. Taylor’s passion for helping her patients and the care and commitment each member of our team shows toward one another and our patients. She also enjoys our constant push toward excellence in dentistry and to bettering ourselves as people, coworkers, employees and providers.
Rachel loves welcoming our new patients and creating a rapport with them to help them feel comfortable and confident in our office. She is constantly researching and implementing new systems and procedures to improve our office flow and our productivity. She is our go-to girl for solving day-to-day issues. It has been her pleasure to get to know each of our wonderful patients and she looks forward to many more years serving Dr. Taylor and the people of Lake Norman and the surrounding areas.
Rachel’s fur babies run her life! Her 13 year-old pug, Harley is her heart and she spends as much time with him as she can in his old age. But he still has days when he acts like a puppy, and Rachel cherishes every moment with him. She also has a rabbit named Fitz. Fitz enjoys helping Rachel in the kitchen while she is cooking, eating vegetables from the garden and bossing his pug brother around. When she is not at work, Rachel loves antique shopping, gardening and fishing; and investing in and loving on people.
Terri joined our team in April 2018. She loves interacting with our patients and appreciates Dr. Taylor’s care and genuine concern for each patient she meets. Terri has been happily married to a wonderful man for over 35 years. They have two awesome children and four amazing grandchildren. Outside of the office, she enjoys fishing, going to car shows and spending time with her family.
Holly joined our team in January 2016. She completed her Dental Assistant II training in 2008 at Central Piedmont Community College and earned her Associate of Dental Hygiene degree in 2010 at Catawba Valley Community College. Holly is a member of the Hygiene Study Club. She enjoys working with our team to meet common goals and provide excellent patient care, and she is always continuing to learn in addition to providing top-notch dentistry. Outside of the office, Holly enjoys spending time with her family, going to the lake and watching the Carolina Panthers.
Kimberly became a member of the team in April of 2018. She graduated from South Rowan High School in 1996 and earned her dental hygiene degree at Guilford Technical Community College. Kimberly has over 19 years of experience as a hygienist, providing excellent care and education to our patients. She loves that everyone on our team works so well together and appreciates the fact that we make patient care our priority.
When she is away from the office, Kimberly loves traveling to the beach and mountains and spending quality time with her husband and daughter. She also loves to bake and raise her chickens.
Heather joined our team in July 2017. She graduated with honors from Mooresville High School in 2012 and completed the Lake Norman Dental Assisting program in 2016. She loves learning new things and interacting with our patients to help them smile again. She is excited to be part of such a great office and about her future here as a dental assistant. When she is not in our office, Heather enjoys being outside, kayaking, working out, traveling to Florida and watching the Carolina Panthers play.
Sarah became a part of our team in June 2020. She earned her dental assisting certificate in 2019. She strives to be a helping hand to anyone who needs it and always tries her best to learn as much as possible to help the practice grow. She enjoys the sense of family at Taylor'd Smiles and the way that everyone puts time, effort and patience into every patient and meeting their needs.
Sarah is married with two boys and one girl. Other than spending time with her family, Sarah looks forward to hunting, fishing and doing anything in the outdoors. Fun fact: Sarah took all of the photos for our website!
In addition to her other duties, Shana is also the Taylor Family nanny. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from North Carolina State and earned her K-6 teaching certification at Mt. Olive University.
Shana makes sure that Dr. Taylor’s boys are well cared for. She loves spending her days with Liam and Colin and watching them learn and grow. As a mother herself, Shana understands that knowing your children are happy and safe is everything. She does her best to provide Dr. Taylor with that comfort so that she can give patients the attention they need.
Shana loves to read and spend time outside. She has been married to her husband Chuck since 2000. They have two sons. Trey is at Mars Hill University and plays on the baseball team. Tanner attends Liberty Prep Christian Academy.
Sophia joined our team in May 2020. She likes welcoming patients to our office and makes sure that they are healthy and comfortable before their appointments. She is a family friend of Dr. Taylor and feels grateful to have the opportunity to work in our office with an amazing team! Sophia is a singer and studies music education at East Carolina University. She also enjoys doing DIY crafts in her spare time.
